MAY 4, 2020
Dear Students & Parents,
New math packets are being delivered today (Monday, May 4, 2020). These packets are for the next 2 weeks of school. Students should be spending an average 60 minutes each day working on math homework. I highly reccommend creating a schedule for your student. If your student is struggling with the work, PLEASE CONTACT ME so I can help in whatever way possible.
Also, please be aware that starting this week, I will be holding Class Zoom meetings twice a week for each of my math classes. Students are encouraged to attend because I will answer questions and work sample problems related to the content they are currently learning. Additionally, this will count towards their attendance for the school year.
STUDENTS & PARENTS
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and our current Stay-at-Home orders, the School Board has approved a move to mastery learning grading.
This means that for Quarter 4, students will receive either a PASS grade or an INCOMPLETE grade.
Just like the other Quarters and Semester 1 of this school year, if you do not turn in ALL assignments, then you will receive an INCOMPLETE for Quarter 4.
Since all of my students are capable of completing all assignments, I expect to see everyone turning in their assignments. Even though our lives and schooling have drastically changed, I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT.
I BELIEVE IN YOU!!
On average, you will have FOUR different math assignments to complete EACH WEEK. You are expected to complete these assignments during the week they have been assigned.
Make sure you are checking the website regularly, and completing all assignments. Even though we are all working at home, you will be held accountable for ALL SCHOOL WORK. That means grades will be earned according to the effort you put into your work.
If you have any problems or questions, you can reach me during normal school hours by phone, text, or email. If you are unable to complete an assignment due to technology or internet issues, LET ME KNOW AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, so that we can make other arrangements.
