I am currently the Librarian at Lindy Ross Elementary School. Prior to that I was the Administrative Assistant at that school and before that I was a substitute teacher in this district. I really enjoy working in this area and getting to know the young people of our community.

Now back to the beginning of my life. My father inherited the homestead ranch belonging to my
grandparents. We were raised like pioneers without electricity or running water, no indoor plumbing and had to haul every drop of water from a spring about a quarter mile away. Laundry preparation days were time and energy consuming. Life became bearable when as a late teenager modern technology came home
to roost. Turning on a tap to get water and a switch to turn on an electric light was a miracle to us. Our parents taught us that we could be anything we wanted to be if we would learn to work! and work we did on the farm all our young lives, milking cows, bringing in the hay, driving tractor and truck at a very young age. Schooling came easy to me but when I graduated I was too young to get in the nearby nursing program so I became a CNA
and provided a living for myself until much later.
