Orton, J'Mae

Hi, I am J'Mae Orton, and I teach 4th grade here at Clark County. Before I came to Dubois, I completed my bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University-Idaho, where I studied Elementary Education with a minor in Mathematics.

I grew up in Hamer, Idaho, and loved every minute of my childhood working on the farm, overcoming challenges, and playing a ton of sports. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and family, going to sporting events, and binge-watching a good TV series. I have always had a love for helping others grow and accomplish more than they think they can.

My goal is to create a classroom where every student feels valued, supported, and confident taking on new challenges. I look forward to building a strong partnership with each family as we work together to help every child have a successful, fun, and memorable year.
