Johnson, Jolene

Hi, I am Jolene Johnson and I teach preschool and kindergarten here at Clark County. I have been up here since 2012 and it is so much fun to watch the kids grow each year. Before I came to Dubois, I taught preschool for nine years with Head Start in Idaho Falls.  I have a bachelor’s degree from Idaho State University where I studied Elementary and Early Childhood Education.  I just love working with the little guys. They definitely keep me on my toes!

I grew up just outside of Idaho Falls, in the Osgood area and I love how tight knit a farming community can be. I think that is why I really enjoy Dubois so much. I have one sister and one brother, and I enjoy spending time with both of them, and my parents, when our schedules allow it.  In my free time, I enjoy walking my dogs. camping, hiking, and canoeing, basically anything that can get me outside. I currently share my home with three dogs, two rabbits, and four ducks. I have also had the opportunity to host a few different exchange students over the years and I have really enjoyed those experiences.  I look forward to the many adventures that are to come this year both in and out of the classroom!
