I am Malinda Ricks. I grew up in the Rexburg area. Graduated from Madison High School as well as Ricks College (BYU-I). I was working at Rexburg Floral when I met my husband. He died in a car accident in 2001. We have one daughter.
I have been an aide/paraprofessional in the Sugar Salem school district for 15 years, during which time I finished my bachelor's and earned my teacher certification. I have been the Special Education Teacher at Clark County School District since fall of 2020.
I am creative, a quilter, crafter and gardener. I like to travel and have been across the country. I like being outdoors and hiking as well as attending plays and performances at small theaters during the summer. I collect Barbie dolls as well as Lego mini figures.
In my experience with students ranging in skills from non-verbal to advanced, I have found that everyone can learn, no matter what their challenge is in life.
If you do not want to learn, No one can help you.
If you want to learn, No one can stop you.
